My Sister Was Born With a Tethered Cord

My sister was born with a tethered cord and she never knew she was born with it until she feel when she turned 70. She had to have her tail bone removed due to getting a bad bed sore in the hospital. She has a cyst on her spine and she has what they have been calling trailers around the cyst. She is paralyzed from her waist down since she fell. Is there any Doctor in the United States that would be interested in looking into this case?

I had total knee replacement in Dec.2009. My entire leg is 'hot'. I notice it at night. Sometime my knee is so swollen that I have to use a cane. X-rays from Dr, shows no infection. Sometimes, I experience 'cold areas' while sitting. I do not nor did I have a replacement because of arthritis. I had a previous knee injury in 1989, an accident, and dr. set leg crooked and as I got older it continued to increase - as a result I requested a new knee. Why the 'heat' and swelling still, four years later?

My husband has papillary thyroid carcinoma which has spread the bones, primarily his backbone and ribs. He has had surgery to remove the thyroid gland, which was free of cancer, and two surgeries to remove lymph glands from the right side of his neck which were cancerous. He has had 3 rounds of radioactive iodine and tried to take Nexavar, but was unable to tolerate the side effects, and it apparently did not do any good anyway. He is beginning to have quite a lot of pain in his back. He has been using an electrical muscle stimulator on his back with varied results. What other treatment options does he have? The cancer seems to have gotten aggressive recently and his doctor doesn't seem to know what to do next. I am, quite frankly, scared for him.
